At The Eggless Baker, we believe that small changes can lead to big impact, not just in baking, but in the way we treat the planet.
From the ingredients we choose to the packaging we use, sustainability has always been part of our journey. After all, creating indulgent treats shouldn’t come at the cost of the environment. Here's how we’re working to keep our bakes kind - to you and the earth.
Thoughtful Ingredients
We start with ingredients that are kinder by nature. Our recipes are 100% eggless, which already reduces our reliance on animal agriculture. But we go further by sourcing plant-based, cruelty-free, and where possible, locally produced ingredients to reduce our carbon footprint.
We also choose high-quality chocolate and cocoa from suppliers who support ethical farming practices, because great flavour shouldn’t come at the expense of people or the planet.
Planet-Friendly Packaging
We’re constantly reviewing our packaging to make sure it's doing its job without damaging the environment.
-
Our boxes are recyclable where possible and made from responsibly sourced materials.
-
We use paper-based wrapping for our bakes to keep things fresh and fuss-free.
-
Any filler we use to protect your treats in transit is biodegradable because broken brownies are sad, but so is landfill.
We’re also testing compostable stickers and tape wherever possible so watch this space!
Small Batch, Low Waste
All our bakes are made to order in small batches, meaning less waste and less overproduction. We don’t bake for shelves. We bake for you — so everything that leaves our kitchen has a purpose and a name on it.
Leftovers? They’re rare. But when we do have a few extra bakes, we donate them locally or offer them as surprise extras in treat boxes.
Conscious Delivery Choices
We send our postal treats via Royal Mail Tracked 24®, which has a lower carbon impact than same-day couriers or private van services. It’s not perfect but it’s a better choice for now, and we’re always looking for ways to do better.
We also encourage local customers to collect their orders where possible, which helps reduce emissions and gives us a chance to say hello!
A Work in Progress
We’re proud of the steps we’ve taken, but we’re not finished. Sustainability is a journey, not a destination and we’re always learning.
